Literature Text

Eyes, eyes
The wondering eyes
Old eyes, new eyes
Brown eyes, blue eyes
Watching, watching, watching you
Through the bushes through the branches
Staring out into blue; every single eye on you

Count your flaws and count your blessings
Every single eye on you is nesting
Planted there, planted on you
Digging in your skin and winding through your ribs

One, two, three, four
Feet pounding on the floor
All their love is in recession
Like your very own funeral procession
Continue to the waterfall
All the martyrs dancing around and letting out wild whoops and calls

Let them fill your pockets with stones; adorn you hair with flowers
Only so they can lay you down and let you sink into the flood
Losing your lungs and all your blood
Once you've been swallowed by the liquid glass
You'll be among kings and queens; gypsies and thieves
That were swallowed many suns and moons in the past

You see them lying next to you
Covered up by the blue
And with every passing hour the sky gets darker and casts shadows
Deep, deep down in the foaming blue
And you realize that every eye is on you
Inspired by "What the Water Gave Me" by Florence and The Machine

I know it often looses rythm and doesn't always rhyme but I tried my best. :) Hope whever sees it likes it.
